WindStrom S.A. was founded in 2000 in Cape Town by its director Wolfgang Michalke as a partner company to the German WindStrom South, based in Germany, with the intention to generate Wind Energy in South Africa.

In 2012 WindStrom Innovative Energies became a shareholder in the South African WindStrom S.A., bringing a 20 year experience from Europe in generating and managing Wind and Solar Energy to South Africa.

With the technical support from Filip Wolfs on the local side, planning and designing PV Systems and Backup Solutions, WindStrom S.A. – Renewable Energy Solutions – became a face and proved to be a reliable partner in the local PV industry.
