Job Description

The ADMINISTRATION OFFICER will be responsible for the following duties at a veterinary practice.


– Greet and assist clients at reception
– Answer the phone
– Make appointments
– Taking, relay and follow up of messages
– Deal with queries from the public

Office administration
-Answer emails and give clients feedback
– Ad hoc office tasks
– Stock administration

Financial administration
– Petty cash control
– Debit and credit control
– Reconciliations
– Filing
– Allocation of payments

Assistant to Veterinarian
– Assist Veterinarian from time to time with patients

Key Competencies:
– Grade 12
– At least two years’ relevant financial experience (Debtors and Creditors)
– Good working knowledge of Sage and Excel
– Proficient in Afrikaans and English
– Customer service orientated
– Good communication skills
– Good organisational skills
– Excellent time keeping
– Attention to detail
– Accept responsibility & accountability
– Must have a love for animals
– Teachable and willingness to continuously learn new skills
