RECEPTION / RESERVATIONIST

(Live In Position) Country Hotel near Swellendam (Western Cape) requires an enthusiastic and friendly individual with sober habits, person must be passionate about working with people and have outstanding customer service capabilities. Candidate must be able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and the ability to pay attention to detail.  Applicant needs to be fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans) with excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).

Duties include but not limited to:  Welcoming and assisting & checking in of guests.  Compiling quotations, capturing and updating bookings on the system. Reply to guest communications professionally and follow up on bookings made and deposit payments.    Office admin including cash-ups.

We are seeking an all rounder. We are a small establishment and work as a team, daily duties include helping other departments when it is necessary.

Qualifications and experience Grade 12 / Matric. Working knowledge of Nightsbridge booking system, Online Booking Websites and experience in the hotel and guest house environment will be to your advantage. Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

In the Hospitality industry there are no Long Weekends and Christmas Holidays, therefore we are looking at a single person with no dependents.

Own transport is advisable because of our remote location. We are situated 45km from Swellendam on the Breede River (of which most is gravel road). Interviews on the premises is essential, NO skype interviews.
