Ensuring that their team consistently meets the standard for the hotel’s rooms & public areas cleanliness, amenities as well as maintenance required in rooms and public areas.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the daily activities of staff so as to enable the efficient operation of the department.
• Implement service standards regarding cleanliness, amenities and maintenance requirements.
• Drawing up daily worksheets for staff.
• Daily checks of all rooms.
• Make sure all maintenance issues are reported and resolved.
• Regular deep cleaning of all rooms and public areas.
• Training of staff and ensuring correct procedures are followed at all times.
• Assisting other departments when needed.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a housekeeping environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage own time and workload
• Reliability and dedication
• Eye for detail

In the Hospitality industry there are no Long Weekends and Christmas Holidays, therefore we are looking at a single person with no dependents.

Own transport is advisable because of our remote location. We are situated 45km from Swellendam on the Breede River (of which most is gravel road). Interviews on the premises is essential, NO skype interviews.
